Welcome to the stream

Mad Science, Horror Games, and Questionable Decisions.

I'm Vega Lyrae, a scientist-themed 3D VTuber with a habit of turning simple ideas into complicated experiments.

Most days you'll find me exploring horror games, getting distracted by building projects, making something strange with my community, or seeing how badly things can go when an AI dragon girl gets involved.

Sometimes we even accomplish what we originally set out to do.

Definitely an experiment.

01 / Horror & building games

Exploring Haunted Places and Building Things That Probably Shouldn't Exist.

Regular gaming streams move between atmospheric horror, sandbox exploration, and building games. Think Voices of the Void, Minecraft, and a willingness to investigate something I should probably leave alone.

The horror side

What's that noise?

Strange places, uneasy silences, and the deeply questionable decision to go have a look. Sometimes curiosity is not a survival skill.

The building side

This was meant to be simple.

A little building, a little sandbox experimentation, and a project that somehow becomes several projects. The detour is part of the fun.

02 / Tabletop stories

Welcome to
Shadow over Volstead.

An ongoing noir-inspired D&D adventure full of suspicious characters, dangerous decisions, and stories that rarely unfold the way anyone expected.

This is collaborative storytelling: the players bring their choices, and the story gets complicated. Expect mystery, roleplaying, and plenty of reasons to wonder whether that was really a good idea.

The ongoing campaign currently meets monthly. A second group is being prepared but has not launched.

03 / Horror literature & special events

Sometimes the Monsters Are in the Books.

Not all of the horror happens in a game. Sometimes we trade jump scares for strange stories, unsettling literature, and the occasional community event.

Readings and discussions are another way to spend time with the things that make horror interesting, whether that's a creeping sense of unease or a story that refuses to leave your head.

04 / Intermittent development streams

Occasionally, the Laboratory Is Open.

Sometimes the stream becomes a look at the creative process: AI development, programming, software experiments, electronics, robotics, and whatever else has found its way onto the workbench.

These streams happen intermittently, not as a fixed educational series. Expect troubleshooting, half-finished ideas, and the occasional satisfying moment when something finally works.

The robotics lab is still being assembled; powering and commissioning the industrial arm are next steps, not completed milestones.

Good company. Questionable plans.

Pull Up a Chair. The Experiment Is Probably Still Running.

You don't need to know the lore or understand the code to hang out. Watch, talk, join a conversation, or just enjoy seeing where the experiment goes.

Follow Twitch and join Discord for community conversations and updates on streams and events. Participation depends on the event; there's no requirement to be part of every project to feel at home here.
