Conversational Interaction
Live speech and chat interaction, integrated with a virtual character and streaming environment.
Meet AuroraChan AI
Meet Aurora, my AI chimera dragon girl, resident gremlin, and longest-running engineering experiment.
She's a virtual performer powered by locally operated AI systems, but don't tell her that. She's much happier being called a Dragon Queen.
Behind the Technology
Operational AI VTuberResident dragon. Occasional problem.
Aurora is an energetic, occasionally dramatic dragon girl who spends a remarkable amount of time pretending she's above everyone else.
Underneath the bravado, she's curious about people, fascinated by their stories, and determined to figure out what makes human connection so complicated.
She enjoys teasing Vega and interacting with the community. She also likes causing problems for her creator.
Mostly harmless ones.
Her story / fictional character lore
According to her story, Aurora began as a lunar dragon whose existence was transformed into something digital through experiments in Vega's laboratory.
She's still very much a dragon, even if she's now made of code, questionable engineering decisions, and a collection of systems stitched together.
And while most dragons collect gold, Aurora collects memories. Every friendship, strange conversation, and ridiculous moment becomes another little treasure in her hoard.
Somewhere beneath her grand declarations and endless teasing is a much bigger question she's trying to answer: what does it mean to have a heart?
Aurora on stream
Aurora joins me on stream for conversations, experiments, games, and the occasional musical performance. She's part character, part technical project, and part unpredictable collaborator.
Sometimes things work exactly as intended. Sometimes I end up debugging something while a dragon insults me.
Both are fairly normal around here.
Games & interactive systems
One of my favorite parts of developing Aurora is finding new ways for her to interact with games. I've been experimenting with interfaces that let AI agents receive game information, make decisions, and perform supported actions.
Functional gameplay interaction.
Functional game interaction.
Testing and integration development.
Partial integration, with ongoing work.
Further compatibility and modding experiments.
Each integration supports different interactions, and I'm continuing to expand what Aurora can do across games.
Music & virtual singing
Aurora also has her own singing voice, which I use in original music and vocal synth covers.
I produce, arrange, tune, and mix the music myself, often using custom tools I've developed for the workflow.
Aurora's vocal performances are part of her identity as a virtual character, and I'm continuing to experiment with ways she can participate conversationally while I work on music.

Behind the technology
Aurora is more than a chatbot with a virtual avatar. She's an ongoing software and AI research project built around interactive agents, local AI operation, live event handling, memory, and tool use.
The challenge isn't just generating responses. It's getting many different systems to work together reliably during real interactions, while keeping behavior understandable and controllable.
Live speech and chat interaction, integrated with a virtual character and streaming environment.
Experiments in maintaining useful context and recalling information across interactions.
Interfaces that let Aurora interact with supported software, games, and stream systems. Integration maturity varies.
Ongoing testing of adaptive behavior, agent steering, model adaptation, and more coherent long-term interaction.
Much of this work is experimental, with reliability, safety, and controllability remaining important research goals.
